NGK Spark Plug reveals new logo following name change

NGK Spark Plug has revealed its new group and corporate logo, following last year’s announcement regarding its upcoming English name change to ‘Niterra’.

This will be officially adopted by the company in conjunction with the name change to Niterra, which will take place from this April.

The company said the decision to change its name is due to the “expected major decline” in the use of internal combustion engine vehicles and that the name NGK Spark Plug “no longer accurately represents what the overall business stands for”.

While Niterra will become the group’s overall name, the NGK and NTK brands will continue to exist for the company’s respective ignition and sensor businesses.
