New head of planning at Škoda Ireland

Škoda Ireland has recently announced the promotion of Alicia O’Connor to the role of Head of Planning at Škoda Ireland.

Alicia previously spent three years as an Area Sales Manager for Audi Ireland having previously worked as a Marketing Executive at BMW Group Ireland.

Based in Škoda headquarters in Liffey Valley, Alicia’s responsibilities as Head of Planning will now include ensuring that the brand has sufficient supply to meet demand, which will include maximising sales opportunities, avoiding any overstocking risks as Škoda pursues ambitions of achieving an 8 per cent market share by 2016.

A native of Dublin, Alicia graduated from UCD with a BA in Spanish and Sociology, a Higher Diploma in Business Studies in the Michael Smurfit Graduate School of Business and more recently a Masters in Marketing from Michael Smurfit Graduate School of Business.

Welcoming the appointment Zac Hollis, Škoda Brand Director, Škoda Ireland said: “We are delighted to have Alicia join the Škoda Ireland team. She has great industry experience and is a very welcome addition. Škoda Ireland is looking to recruit and maintain the best people in the business and we are delighted with Alicia’s appointment.”
