New Ferodo packaging unveiled

As part of the Ferodo “You are in Control” programme, Federal-Mogul has developed new packaging for its range of matching OE-quality brake products to better meet the needs of its aftermarket customers. The entire friction range now includes a top opening design for greater accessibility and improved structural stiffness for better product protection.

“It’s about increasing the convenience for our customers, providing easy access to the contents of the box and including a state of the art anti-counterfeit programme that ensures only genuine Ferodo parts are used,” explained Jérôme De Bruycker, Federal-Mogul’s Brand Manager Braking EMEA. “As part of the new design, the barcode has been repositioned on the side of the box to make scanning and storage easier. The current red packaging has been replaced with a new premium design to ensure consistency with the packaging and support materials throughout the brand making Ferodo easier to identify.”

Anti-counterfeit protection is provided by a tamper-evident holographic Prio-Spot® seal showing the Federal-Mogul logo. This can be validated with the unique Data Matrix Code on the box, which can be checked using a 2-D scanner or smartphone. Customers can also use the QR code on the box to direct them straight to where the alphanumeric code can also be verified.
