Murphy Prototypes team heads for Imola
The Irish based Murphy Prototypes team will travel to northern Italy this weekend for the second round of the European LeMans Series (ELMS). After a non finish at the opening round of the series in Silverstone the team will be looking for a strong finish at the iconic Imola circuit this weekend.

It is one of the few major circuits to run in an anti-clockwise direction and is renowned for its high-speed straights and technical corners, including the infamous Tamburello Curve. The ELMS action starts on Saturday, with two 90-minute free practice sessions. Qualifying takes place on Sunday from 10.30, with the four-hour race getting underway at 14.00. Also heading to the continent this weekend is former Motorsport Ireland young Rally Driver of the Year, Stephen Wright. The Monaghan driver has struck a deal with Belgian co-driver Eddy Smeets who will partner Stephen for the Sezoens Rally in Belgium.
Wright spent much of last season competing in Belgium and this will be his first continental venture of the 2015 season in his Ford Fiesta R5. Although Stephen made the trip to Belgium on 6 occasions last year, this will be his first attempt at the Sezoens Rally.
