MPM Motor Oil 05000VLV to be replaced by 05000C5

MPM Oil has announced that it is set to discontinue the Motor Oil 0W-20 Premium Synthetic VLV (05000VLV), replacing it with the Motor Oil 0W-20 Premium Synthetic C5 (05000C5).

The company said this upgrade ensures that it maintains 99 per cent coverage for the universal workshop.

According to MPM, the 05000C5 not only offers an improved specification for Volvo but also covers a significantly larger share of the vehicle fleet.

This product is suitable for various brands, including BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Opel, Fiat, Jaguar/Land Rover, and several Asian manufacturers.

MPM said it will “gradually phase out” the 05000VLV, adding that stockists “can sell off your remaining stock of the 05000VLV and transition to the 05000C5 thereafter”.

For convenience, MPM said product information for the 05000VLV will remain available via the recommendation tool on its website “for at least six more months”.
