Centre stage on its manned trade stand, number EV8, will be the recently introduced eVito – a mid-size, electric van, described by Mercedes-Benz commercial vehicles sales manager, Fergus Conheady as “a unit designed for a global marketplace and a new generation of operators, especially for the benefits it brings in terms of economy of operation and eco-awareness”.
With an installed battery capacity of 41.4 kWh, a range of up to 150 km, top speed of up to 120 km/h, a payload of around 1000 kg and cargo volume of up to 6m3, the eVito is said to be perfectly configured for city-centre use by delivery companies, trades people and public transport providers.
Billed as a business to business event, with an expected attendance of over 4,000, some of the main themes at this year’s SEAI Energy Show are set to include fleet management and available grants and toll savings for electrical, hybrid and alternative vehicles.
