The 21-year old highly-driven Ballintubber Club member has appeared 17 times for his county, including eight championship appearances, since his senior county debut in May 2014. He has a 2013 All-Ireland Minor Football Championship title under his belt and a 2014 Mayo Senior County title, playing alongside his three brothers. Aptly crowned 2015 Young Footballer of the Year, the Mayo football starlet regularly draws admiration from fans, both in Mayo and outside the county.
Joseph Burke, Dealer Principal at JJ Burke Car Sales Ballinrobe, said, “We’ve been looking for a local Peugeot Brand Ambassador for some time and I couldn’t think of a more perfect partnership. Indeed, one performance player has just met another; the Peugeot 308 was voted European Car of the Year winner just shortly after its launch and then landed the Continental Irish Compact Car of the Year accolade. It is Peugeot’s best-selling model in 2016 in Europe. We’re delighted with the appointment and we wish Diarmuid every continued success for 2016.”
On delivery, Diarmuid said, “The Peugeot 308 drives like an absolute dream and it looks fantastic. It’s just so economical and packed with standard equipment. My thanks to JJ Burke Car Sales Ballinrobe for my new car and I look forward to my role as Peugeot brand ambassador.”
