Sovereign Rotating Machines has appointed rotating electrics expert Gary Maskrey to the role of Business Manager for the UK and Ireland.

Maskrey has 31 years experience in the aftermarket having worked in a variety of roles for Valeo, Remy Automotive, and more recently AMK. In his new role at Sovereign, he will be responsible to developing buying group accounts and identifying new opportunities as the Bognor Regis based business continues to surge forward.

Commenting on his new role, Maskrey said: “I’m delighted to be joining Sovereign Rotating Machines – the company is a leader in its field and, with new products and services being introduced regularly to help grow a customer’s sales, the business is seen very much as an innovator.

“A key challenge facing the entire sector is the misdiagnosis of rotating electrics failures and so we intend to work very closely with customers to raise awareness and increase knowledge so that the supply chain is at its most effective.”

Sovereign managing director, Richard Welland, said: “Gary brings with him a wealth of experience and knowledge to Sovereign and is a major appointment to our sales team. He is incredibly popular with customers and will play an integral role in driving growth in the coming months and years.”

Away from work, Gary is a keen golfer and member of the Sheffield Golf Society.
