Mahle Motorsport has launched its High Performance Racing Bearings catalogue for the aftermarket.
Featuring parts covering makes and models such as BMW Mini Cooper S 1.6L (Prince), Cosworth (YB 2.0L Turbo), Mitsubishi (4G63T), Rover (K-Series 1.8L) and Vauxhall (2.0L C20XE), the Mahle Motorsport range of bearings contains technology that has been transferred from Mahle’s F1 bearing technology.
Made in Mahle’s dedicated race bearing facility in Kilmarnock, the bearings use the same material specification as that used in Formula 1, Le Mans, NASCAR and MotoGP.
All of the new additions are of Original Equipment (OE) quality, ensuring the manufacturer’s warranty remains valid and parts perform to the same standard as the original.
Jonathan Walker, Managing Director at Mahle, said: “This new catalogue is a testament to Mahle Motorsport’s racing expertise, as well as our commitment in bringing a wider range of high performance parts to the aftermarket.
He continued: “The vast majority of today’s high performance racing engines use bearings made by Mahle Motorsport – and we are continually striving to increase that market share.”
Mahle’s connection with motorsport spans decades, where it has been active as a developer and system partner on the international racing scene. The bearing division of Mahle Motorsport, formerly known as Vandervell, has a proud heritage in motorsport dating back to the Vanwall Grand Prix cars of the 1950s. Today, every premium racing series worldwide uses Mahle Motorsport.
