Liqui Moly takes it to the ‘Extreme’

The Mongolia-based tour operator ‘Liqui Moly Extreme’ has added a unique experience to its program: the off-road winter tour Ice Tracks to Taiga. The off-road vehicle takes a varied road trip through the snowy Mongolian landscape and over frozen lakes.

The 11-day Liqui Moly-sponsored off-road tour is a guided self-driving trip through Mongolia. In the off-road vehicles provided, participants explore the rugged landscape in winter, away from the usual tourist destinations.

The road trip starts and ends in the capital Ulaanbaatar and leads to Khustai National Park, where wild horses can be observed in their natural habitat. Relax in the hot springs of Arkhangai. Travelers can also experience the traditions and culture of the local people at first hand. The itinerary includes a visit to the Tsaatan nomads in the Darkhd Valley and the Ice Festival at Lake Khuvsgul.

The tour takes off-road adventurers through diverse landscapes and different terrains – on roads as well as sandy and icy slopes. One highlight is a journey over the meter-thick ice of the frozen Khuvsgul Lake.

During the trip, participants are accompanied by experienced tour guides in the support vehicle and a dedicated chef takes care of their physical well-being. Accommodation includes luxury hotels to traditional yurts. The four-wheel drive vehicles and fuel are provided. Each participant will also receive a Liqui Moly product set.
