Land Rover Defender to celebrate two decades at Dublin Horse Show
This year’s Dublin Horse Show is a special one for Land Rover Defender as it marks the 20th year of sponsorship of the Defender Puissance at the event.
On each day of the show, from 14th–18th August, visitors to the family area can enjoy a unique drive experience in Mini Defenders. Kids with an appetite for adventure can get behind the wheel of a miniature Defender as they learn to steer and navigate a bespoke course designed just for them.
On Saturday 17th August, Defender owners are invited to enjoy complimentary refreshments in the comfort of ‘The Defender Lounge’ before catching all the action at the Defender Puissance in the main arena.
The Defender Puissance wall starts at a height of 1.80m, which steadily climbs for each round until it reaches the 2.20m. Each competing horse must clear the Defender Puissance wall, leading to a knock-out finish.
Melanie McCourt, marketing director, Jaguar Land Rover Ireland, said: “We are very pleased to be continuing our long-standing partnership with the Dublin Horse Show and the RDS.
“The Defender Puissance is a highlight in the equestrian and social calendar and we’re proud to celebrate 20 years of partnering with this world-class event which plays such an important role in equestrian sport in Ireland.”
