Kia drives Team Ireland at London Olympics


Kia Motors Ireland are sending a fleet of Sportage and Optima Models  to London to help Team Ireland with their logistics for the Olympic Games .


The cars will be based at the Team Ireland’s training camp at Lensbury/St.Marys in Teddington where most the team will be based in the coming weeks. Amongst the athletes based at Lensbury will be Athletics, Badminton, Cycling, Canoeing, Gymnastics and Modern Pentathlon. One of the Sportages is headed for Weymouth where the Sail team will be based.
Present as the cars departed for London, Olympic Council of Ireland President Pat Hickey commented – “Driving this fleet of Irish registered 12D cars will give the Irish Team a unique identity in London and we are delighted and thankful for the support of Kia Motors Ireland in this regard.”
