Ireland one of Mazda’s best performing markets in Europe


Mazda Ireland is seeing continued success as sales once again near closer to record breaking figures. The brands‘ success is quickly gaining momentum across Europe posting a 21 per cent year on year increase with Ireland performing in the top ten EU markets with a 25% growth last year. 

Mazda Range PicMazda Ireland closed 2015 on a high by more than doubling their fourth quarter unit turnover relative to the same period in 2014 with a growth of  113% in comparison to the same period in 2014 with the Irish motor industry up only 15%.

New additions to the carmaker’s popular current model generation boosted the results. The company produced its three-millionth current generation vehicle in November, four years to the month after the first – a Mazda CX-5 – rolled off a Hiroshima production line in 2011.

All six available models (including the Mazda6 flagship) feature efficient lightweight drivetrains and platforms from the SKYACTIV Technology suite underneath their inspired KODO – Soul of Motion exteriors. The Mazda Ireland retailer network is also undergoing development to deliver its top quality products in state of the art facilities with customer satisfaction as the forefront of the new design.

This recipe, based on uncompromising driving fun, has earned Mazda more than 200 awards worldwide, including three of the past four Car of the Year Japan titles (for the Mazda CX-5, Mazda2 and Mazda MX-5) as well as top marks in J.D. Power customer satisfaction and vehicle dependability studies.

The all new Mazda MX-5 is on the shortlist for European Car of the Year 2016 and also made it into the 2015 Euro NCAP best in class for safety. A number of other models from the new product line up have taken up numerous of awards locally and internationally.
