IAAF wins ‘Industry Partner of the Year’
The Independent Automotive Aftermarket Federation (IAAF) has been named ‘Industry Partner of the Year’ at the CAT Awards 2025, securing the accolade for the second year running.
Held in Manchester, the event welcomed over 200 aftermarket professionals to celebrate the contributions of businesses and individuals in 2024.
The IAAF said its win, determined by a public vote, highlights the federation’s continued dedication to championing the independent automotive aftermarket, with strong competition also shortlisted for the award.
Over the past year, the IAAF says it has been at the forefront of industry advocacy, leading vital campaigns on Block Exemption Regulations (BER) and Type Approval legislation, ensuring independent garages retain access to essential vehicle data.
The federation highlights how it has also worked tirelessly to defend the annual MOT test, providing a strong voice for independent garages and suppliers in key policy discussions.
In addition to its advocacy work, the IAAF has expanded its support for the sector with initiatives like the IAAF Training Academy, designed to raise industry standards, and the launch of IAAF Enrichment Days, which introduce students to career opportunities within the automotive aftermarket.
Furthermore, the federation has strengthened its community and continued to share industry insights through many engaging events, including the introduction of its summer conference, its ever-growing Annual Conference and Awards ceremony, the Automechanika Birmingham Garage Awards and the upcoming IAAF Five-a-Side Tournament.
Mark Field, IAAF chief executive, said: “Winning this award for the second consecutive year is a true testament to the dedication of our hardworking team and the unwavering support of our members. We are committed to ensuring the voice of the independent aftermarket is heard, and this recognition from the industry is incredibly meaningful. On behalf of the federation, I’d like to extend a huge thank you to everyone who voted!”
