Hella introduces RotaLED compact


Lighting and electronics expert, Hella, has introduced RotaLED Compact – an LED addition to its existing halogen beacon series, which already includes the Rotafix, Rotaflex and Rota Compact models. Due to its compact design, the beacon portfolio is especially suitable for agricultural and construction machines, as well as the coach and bus sector.

Alongside the series’ existing characteristics of reliability and outstanding performance, the new RotaLED Compact beacon offers the advantage of LED technology, making it durable, maintenance-free and ensures there are no additional ongoing costs. Halogen beacons have a service life of approximately 1,000 to 2,000 hours, which is a fraction of that provided by LED technology. Furthermore, the RotaLED Compact has many additional features; the flashing light function, for example, creates a powerful warning effect.

Customers can easily benefit from the RotaLED Compact, as it provides a simple way to switch from halogen to LED and can even be mounted in the identical position to the existing halogen beacons, meaning that Rotafix, Rotaflex and Rota Compact can be easily exchanged with RotaLED Compact.

This product family offers three different assembly options, in addition to magnetic and fixed mounting, it can also be attached by a clamp with a flexible base, which absorbs the type of impact made by branches and twigs. This allows the beacon to bend before it returns to the original position, reducing the risk of damage during usage. This is possible due to a special protection mechanism: the clamp interlocks with the flexible, rubber base and is released during extreme inclinations of more than 30 degrees. Afterwards, the beacon can be put back in its original place by releasing three screws. Moreover, RotaLED Compact’s smooth, impact-resistant dome is resilient against dust and dirt, making it the perfect beacon to use in a multitude of environments.
