Great Wall’s Chinese revolution rolls into Northern Ireland

Great Wall, the first major Chinese manufacturer to commence volume vehicle sales in the UK, has begun its expansion into Northern Ireland with the addition of Derry-based Eakin Bros Ltd within its dealership network. 

Joining Great Wall’s established network of 48 outlets in the UK mainland, Eakin Bros will begin with sales of the new Steed pick-up and provide owners with dedicated parts and service facilities.

Founded in 1923, Eakin Bros trades from the same site in Claudy, Derry, which the current Managing Director’s grandfather opened nearly 90 years ago; indeed the MD’s father is still active in the business with nearly 60 years’ experience, giving the business unrivalled knowledge of the needs and expectations of the local  community. Expectations are high that the Steed pick-up will prove popular in Northern Ireland, amongst trade and recreational users alike.
