Motorists are being urged to get their tyres checked, as part of Road Safety Week, which runs until Sunday.

The Irish Tyre Industry Association (ITIA) and the Road Safety Authority are jointly running Tyre Safety Day on Wednesday, October 4, where free tyre checks are on offer to motorists at participating garages.

ITIA retailers are offering free visual tyre checks on all five tyres – the spare too!.

No purchase is necessary. So just drive in for peace of mind – it takes about 10 minutes.
