The seventh annual Gerard Murphy Memorial Vintage & Classic Car Show and Road Run 2017 takes place on Sunday, October 1.
This year’s event is shaping up to be the biggest so far, and organiser Pat Murphy is confident of surpassing the 650 classic and vintage vehicles that took part in last year’s event.
Appropriately, with Ford celebrating 100 years in Ireland this year, the Gerard Murphy Memorial Vintage & Classic Car Show and Road Run 2017 has chosen Ford as it’s featured brand this year, so you can expect to see lots of Classic and Vintage Fords In attendance.
The static display will feature a wide selection of trucks, cars, tractors and agri- vehicles, making the event a must attend.
This year’s chose charities are the Local Hub, Glenbrohane, Co. Limerick and Slaney Search & Rescue.
First prize in this year’s Raffe is a Ford Escort, with a 12.0 litre Pinto engine and 5-speed gearbox.
Workshoo equipment specialists PJ Fallon & Son has kindly donated the second prize, a 2-post Phoenix Automotive lift. Tickets at €10 are available nationwide.
