The funeral of Danial Spray (38), son of Campbell Spray, Executive Editor and Motoring Editor of the Sunday Independent takes place in Lawnswood Crematorium, Leeds, West Yorkshire this Wednesday.

Daniel who died suddenly on April 9, was the eldest child of Campbell and his first wife, Helen (nee Eglington). My thoughts are with our motoring scribe colleague and dear friend Campbell and his family at this very sad time for them.

There will be no flowers, except one family wreath. However, donations in lieu can be made to Inkwell Arts Leeds (Friends of Inkwell, 31 Potternewton Lane, Chapel Allerton, Leeds, LS7 3LW, England or friendsof@inkwellarts.org.uk).

In addition to Campell and Helen, Daniel is survived by his sisters Laura Jole and Rachel Spray, brother Marcus Spray, step father David Wiggins, stepmother Kate O’Toole, brother-in-law Sam Jole and Campbell’s partner Gayle Williamson.
