Ford announces sales promotion ahead of 211 period

Ford has announced details of its new ‘Upgrade & Save’ sales promotion, which it hopes will encourage drivers to purchase a new car during the January 2021 sales period.

It features savings of up to €3,150 on selected models, low APR loan packages and the extra peace of mind of seven years warranty and seven years roadside assistance.

The Ford ‘Upgrade & Save’ promotion also includes reductions on highly specced versions of all of Ford’s most popular models including:

  • Ford Fiesta with a saving of up to €750
  • Ford EcoSport compact SUV with a saving of up to €2,350
  • New Ford Puma compact SUV with a saving of up to €1,700
  • Ford Focus with a saving of up to €2,950
  • All-new Ford Kuga with a saving of up to €3,150
  • Ford Mondeo with a saving of up to €2,000
  • And savings of €1,200 and €2,250 (respectively) off Ford’s award-winning people carrier models, the S-Max and Galaxy

Although physical showrooms throughout Ireland remain closed due to government Covid-19 restrictions, customers can still take advantage of Ford’s sales promotion online or over the phone. The ‘Upgrade & Save’ sales promotion will continue at Ford dealers nationwide once restrictions end on December 1.

The promotion covers vehicles ordered before the end of December 2020 and registered during January 2021.

Meanwhile, commercial vehicle reductions include up to €1,750 off the Transit Connect Limited or Sport models; €5,500 off the Transit Custom; €6,500 off the Transit two tonne van; and €3,200 off the Ranger.

“Just like the rest of the population, our Ford Dealers are really hoping for and looking forward to the easing of the latest Covid-19 restrictions”, said John Manning, market lead for Ford Ireland.

“Through the lockdown, our Dealers have been fielding a high volume of calls and inquiries in relation to new cars for the 211 registration period, so there is evidently a certain amount of pent up demand due to the slow down in new car sales since the imposition of the first round of Covid restrictions back in March this year.

“To respond to this, we have put in place an enticing suite of offers for new car buyers under the banner of our ‘Upgrade & Save’ promotion. And with our ‘peace of mind’ three month payment deferral, customers can get behind the wheel and not worry about monthly payments until spring-time next year.”

Manning added: “The ‘Upgrade & Save’ promotion offers also cover the Ford range of commercial vehicles, Ireland’s top-selling vans. With reductions of up to €6,500 across the range including on Ireland’s most popular van, the award-winning Ford Transit, available for the first time in a plug-in hybrid version.

“Finance packages with a super low 2.9 per cent APR are available and a once off zero per cent APR offer for customers who opt for the versatile Ranger Wildtrak pick up truck, current holder of the bi-annual International Pick Up award as voted on by Europe’s most experienced commercial vehicle journalists.”
