Easy-to-fit steering rack boot kit from Connect Workshop Consumables

Connect Workshop Consumables has launched a new easy-to-fit steering rack boot kit (part number 37663), which it says does not disturb the track-rod positioning, and therefore the wheel tracking, saving both time and money.

Simply pop the track rod end, then using the specially-designed fitting cone, stretch the new boot over the track-rod end and across to the steering rack housing.

The new kit has been designed as a direct replacement for OE applications, plus the superior flexibility minimalises subsequent wear and tear. The boot material is resistant to oil, grease, grit, abrasion, extremes of temperature as well as tearing and impact damage.

The replacement boot fits track rod diameters of eight to 49mm, and rack flange diameter of 24 to 52mm. The length is 192-232mm. The kit contains two steering rack boots, together with cable ties to secure, plus the special fitting cone.
