Dublin Lord Mayor chooses Volvo
Volvo is a world leader in reducing CO2 emissions, so the Lord Mayor of Dublin, Críona Ní Dhálaigh is happy to choose the S80 D4 SE Lux Geartronic equipped with the latest Drive-E D4 diesel powertrain as the official Mayoral car for 2016. Tradition dictates that the first citizen of Dublin has the first car registered in the capital each year, for use as transport for official engagements.
The Lord Mayor of Dublin Críona Ní Dhálaigh has chosen a Volvo S80 D4 SE lux which has a powerful and economical new 2.0 liter Drive-E Diesel Engine benefiting from CO2 emissions of just 120 g/km (tax band A4) and fuel consumption of 4.6 l/100 km (61.4 mpg) respectively.

Volvo’s reputation for safety is well known and the latest versions of the Volvo S80 are fitted with City Safety as standard, a system using radar to identify stationary or slow moving city traffic. If the driver does not react in time the car will automatically apply the brakes, eliminating low speed shunts under 50km per hour or reducing the severity of higher speed accidents.
