Details of AutopromotecEDU 2013 announced

Autopromotec has released details of the proposed schedule for AutopromotecEDU 2013, an important feature at this year’s exhibition, 22–26 May, Bologna Trade Fair Centre, Italy.

Building on the success of AutopromotecEDU in 2011, this year the schedule will include a comprehensive series of conferences and events, covering all parts of the automotive business and presenting a unique opportunity for debating and discussing sector-related issues and trends.

Emanuele Vicentini, Brand Manager at Autopromotec, explains more about the initiative: “Following very positive feedback at the last event, we have increased the area devoted to AutopromtecEDU inside Pavilion 30. Plus, we have ensured that we cater for the growing number of international exhibitors and visitors this year, with a press conference for international media. There will also be the opportunity to hear from speakers representing major automotive associations in Turkey and the United States, highlighting new business opportunities in their markets.”

AutopromotecEDU will start on 22nd May with a conference outlining the latest developments and trends within the Italian aftermarket industry. Representatives from ANFIA (the Italian Association of the Automotive Industry) and UNRAE (Unione Nazionale Rappresentanti Autoveicoli Esteri – the National Union representing foreign vehicles) will participate, alongside major companies and business players (panel of speakers to be announced).

Other high profile events forming part of the AutopromotecEDU programme will include:

  • GIPA award ceremony (Wednesday, 22nd May, at 5 p.m.) at which prizes will be awarded to individuals and businesses who have especially distinguished themselves in the aftermarket.
  • The International Automotive Aftermarket Meeting, IAAM13 (Thursday, 23rd May, at 9:15 a.m.), formerly EAAS, will provide companies and professionals involved in the after-sales sector with an insider’s perspective on the trends and developments within the aftermarket industry in Europe, as well as further afield. The conference will focus on new international channels for sales and marketing activities, both within Europe and selected strategic countries, such as those of the BRIC group (Brazil, Russia, India and China).
  • In support of the Autopromotec Industrial Vehicle Service initiative, there will be an important conference exploring the world of road transport (Friday 24th May, at 10 a.m.), which will focus on truck repairs and customer support.

Other scheduled workshops will feature notable speakers from both the academic and industrial world, touching on the most important current aftermarket issues, including; mobility, vehicle fleets and car dealers, as well as the role of new media and the business opportunities it offers. Furthermore, there will be an opportunity for visitors to reexamine and understand the new standards and legislation that will regulate the industry over the next few years.

AutopromotecEDU reflects the organisers’ intention to make the exhibition an event which not only encapsulates the fundamental commercial activities of the automotive aftermarket, but also helps contribute to the international development of its exhibitors and visitors by highlighting business opportunities offered by new markets and legislation.
