Crankshaft locking simplified by Laser Tools

Laser Tools have released its new flywheel locking tool (part number 7511) which it says is unique in its design.

Often when the engine has been removed from the vehicle and the gearbox separated, there is no easy way to lock the crankshaft. This new tool offers users the simplicity of locking the flywheel via the ring gear when the engine has been separated from the gearbox. This will allow, for example, the removal of the flywheel or front pulley retaining bolts, or keeping the crankshaft locked when checking play on a dual mass flywheel.

This is a multi-application tool that is designed to fit a wide range of engines. The tool is supplied with M10 and M12 mounting bolts for securing to the bellhousing hole and a selection of spacers to align the tool correctly to the ring gear.
