Cost of motoring falls

New figures from the Central Statistics Office show that the cost of motoring has fallen in the last year.

Drivers benefited from a drop in fuel prices last month of 3.3 per cent for diesel and 2.5 per cent for petrol, with the cost of filling up now over 5 per cent lower than it was a year ago.

The cost of car insurance fell by 7.6 per cent in the past 12 months.
