BYD to showcase electric commercial vehicles at IAA Transportation
Chinese auto giant BYD will use next month’s IAA Transportation in Hannover, Germany to showcase a selection of its latest innovations in electric vans and trucks for the European logistics, distribution and commercial transportation sector.
Highlights include the global debut of the BYD E-VALI, the 3.5t/4.25t pure-electric light commercial vehicle (LCV), said to bring next-level intelligent driving and cutting-edge EV technology. With substantial cargo capacity, BYD says the E-VALI is poised to be a practical addition to eco-friendly fleets, especially for last-mile and parcel deliveries needs.
IAA Transportation will also see the European launch of the BYD EYT 2.0, an electric yard tractor. With many enhanced features and aesthetic updates, it promises to be a “game-changer” for ports, terminals and general distribution as operators transition to meet carbon reduction goals.
Other previews include the BYD ETM6 7.5T pure-electric truck and the BYD ETH8 19T eTruck, both tailored for the specific needs of the European market. These versatile trucks share many safety, efficiency and performance attributes derived from the BYD ePlatform developed by BYD specifically for eTrucks.
