Alfa Romeo to debut new look Giulia and Stelvio
The 100th edition of the Brussels International Motor Show will be the stage for the debut of the upgraded Alfa Romeo Giulia and Stelvio models, both of which are said to have evolved in terms of style and technology.
At the event, which gets underway tomorrow (13th January), the Italian brand will have a dedicated stand where visitors can view the renewed Alfa Romeo range.
The “new look” Giulia and Stelvio models boast sophisticated full-LED adaptive matrix headlights and brand-new ‘Trilobo’ grille.
Alfa claims the technology and connectivity in both models has hit new heights thanks to a new completely digital instrument panel with an “historic telescopic” design. Alfa Connect Services is said to offer maximum comfort and safety on board, designed to provide ‘over the air’ updates.
For the first time, the public will have a chance to see the Giulia in the top-of-the-line ‘Competizione’ trim, which introduces a new exclusive ‘Moon Light’ grey matte coating. The new Stelvio meanwhile will be available in the ‘Sprint’ trim.
Centre to the Alfa Romeo’s stand will be the Tonale in its hybrid and plug-in hybrid Q4 versions. The new SUV is the Italian brand’s first electric-powered vehicle, which it says will lead Alfa Romeo to be the fastest brand on the global automotive scene to go from zero electrified vehicles (the beginning of 2022) to an entire range of zero-emission vehicles in 2027.
All three models on the stand also feature non-fungible token (NFT) technology. Based on a Blockchain technology, the NFT can register vehicle data to generate a confidential and non-corruptible record of the vehicle’s life.
The brand says that on the used car market, the NFT certification will represent “an additional source of credibility” for owners or dealers to count on.
Alfa Romeo is the first automaker to link a car with a NFT digital certificate.
