1TEC Auto Hub welcomes 300th member
1TEC Auto Hub has welcomed its 300th member, bookending another strong year of growth for the garage concept network and exceeding its target of meeting the milestone by the end of 2024.
The network was launched in July 2023 by LKQ Euro Car Parts in conjunction with MPM Oil, Pagid, Schaeffler, Shell, Valeo, Varta and ZF Aftermarket. Members across Ireland and the UK can enjoy a wide range of benefits including the latest technical and diagnostic data, marketing materials and business support to help unlock further revenue streams.
1TEC Auto Hub member garages are governed by a set of criteria to ensure consistently high standards of service. These include maintaining a professional-looking garage with internet access, a customer-facing reception and waiting area, and having at least two ramps on site with a minimum of two full-time technicians.
Members can also benefit from access to LKQ’s award-winning LKQ Academy and remote diagnostic service, which provides on-demand access to a range of tooling to help garages complete more complex coding and programming job that would normally have to be outsourced back to the manufacturer.
The Colchester branch of Shaikly Motor Company – which was recently crowned as the IAAF’s 2024 Garage of the Year – became the 300th member to join the network.
Louise Davies, head of concepts at LKQ Euro Car Parts said: “It’s no secret that the automotive landscape is constantly changing and evolving – be it through the transition towards electric vehicles or the need to navigate economic and supply chain pressures. We created the 1TEC Auto Hub concept as a direct response to this trend, to help the industry’s professionals navigate this environment.
“The network has gone from strength to strength since launching in 2023, and we’re constantly working on new ways to expand the services and benefits that we can offer our members. This is reflected by the consistent quality of the garages we have joining, which is why it’s so fitting to have Shaikly Motor Company – the IAAF Garage of the Year – join as our 300th member.
“2025 is shaping up to be another pivotal year for the independent aftermarket and we look forward to encouraging success across the network to drive the sector forwards.”
