New Mitsubishi Pajero In Showrooms Later This Month
After the launch of the L200 pick-up and in advance of the introduction of the new Outlander SUV next February, the all-new Mitsubishi Pajero arrives in dealer showrooms on Friday 24th November with prices starting from Eur. 29,720 excluding VAT for the commercial model range. Celebrating its 25th anniversary, the 11-time Dakar winner is the most recognisable vehicle in the Mitsubishi range and more than 8,000 Pajero owners in Ireland eagerly anticipate the arrival of the new model.
The new Pajero will be available in both Short Wheel Base (SWB) and Long Wheel Base (LWB), manual and automatic, with all models now coming with Super Select 4WD, cruise control, traction control and air conditioning as standard.
An original and authentic 4x4, the new Pajero has been designed and engineered as a true off-road vehicle, capitalising on the rugged image it has patiently crafted in the grueling Dakar Rally since 1983. For both the SWB and LWB, the front grille incorporates a rectangular crosshair pattern (horizontal bars over thin vertical strips), with Mitsubishi’s trademark treatment of the Three-Diamond logo, prolonged by a spine-like character line stamped in the center of the hood.
The rear mounting of the spare wheel has been retained but is now cased in a stylish hard cover, allowing for a high mounted rear combination lamp for better visibility. The chunkier and sportier 3-door body follows the same design strategy, keeping its longer doors, short wheelbase (2,545mm vs. 2,780mm for the 5 door), characteristic kicked-up rear quarter window and roll-bar-like B-pillar.
